Every year humans endanger the lives of millions of marine animals by (accidentally) contaminating their water with oil. Oil spills dump thousands of tons of oil into the ocean every year affecting many species of animals."Access to Safe Water: A paradox in developed nations," unveils the complex process currently in place to provide safe drinking water in developed nations. This article focuses on combating the common public idea that water is a "throwaway' commodity.
I chose to look at this article because dirty water now is the one of the biggest problem in our environment. It is obvious that we see comercial about charity for clean water for the people couldn't have access to clean water. Dirty water did not just effect our mankind but it also effect the marine life, example like all of the oil spills. Like the picture above, it's like that person is drinking poison, we don't know what's in that cup untill it effected us.
The next step is developed nations need to shift their perspective about safe water, it is not a commodity but a necessity. Educating the public can lead to better water management and other positive practices. I once saw this picture on Facebook it show a special kind of straw that can make the dirty water to clean water, then it said to donate money to provide these straw to Africa, I would say thank you to the person that invented this.
